South Korea to host 36 Korean War veterans and relatives
South Korea will welcome 36 Korean War veterans and relatives for a five-night visit beginning Nov.
8, ahead of UN Veterans Remembrance Day.
The group includes five veterans, 21 relatives of service members killed or missing in action, and 10 other family members.
The Nov.
11 observance grew from a proposal to pause at 11 a.m.
and face Busan, where the UN cemetery is located, to remember those who served.

Richard Whitcomb, who helped war orphans and worked on Busan's reconstruction.
The visitors will attend the Nov.
11 ceremony and visit the UN Peace Memorial Hall in Busan and the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul.
A US official responsible for identifying missing service members will also take part, and South Korea says it aims to preserve the history of international support and solidarity for future generations.
