Farah Khan says showbiz pressure can make people insecure

Farah Khan says constant comparisons in the film industry can make people insecure.

The Indian choreographer and filmmaker made the comments on a podcast hosted by Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi.

She said she had felt anxious while waiting to make her first film, as she worried that others were making films while hers was not happening.

After finishing a script for her next film, she started a YouTube channel during a quiet period, without expecting it to last.

The channel has passed 300 episodes and 3 million followers, with videos of Khan visiting celebrity friends, cooking and talking with them alongside her cook, Dilip.

Khan said she wanted to detach from industry pressures after turning 50, while the channel’s family-oriented content and Dilip’s banter helped shape its format.
