Turkish companies get until 2027 to meet minimum capital rules
Turkey has extended the deadline for companies to meet new minimum capital levels.
The change applies to joint-stock and limited companies whose capital is below the required amounts under the Turkish Commercial Code.
They now have until December 31, 2027, to raise their capital.
The extension also covers non-public joint-stock companies that use a registered capital system.
Those companies must raise their initial and issued capital to the relevant minimum levels by the same deadline.
The extra time gives covered companies longer to comply with the new requirements.
The notice takes effect from the date it was published, and the Trade Minister is responsible for its provisions.
