Sara Gurpal says she received death and rape threats after eviction

Punjabi singer and actor Sara Gurpal says she received death and rape threats after leaving the reality show Rise and Fall.

She said the threats and vulgar comments about her body were posted on social media and also targeted her family.

Gurpal shared her statement on Instagram Stories, saying people may disagree with her views but have no right to threaten or abuse anyone.

The abuse followed her eviction from the reality show, which is hosted by former cricketer Virender Sehwag.

The show divides contestants into Rulers, who have more comforts, and Workers, who carry out tasks for them.

Gurpal said the threats and body-shaming were unacceptable, bringing attention to the online abuse faced by people after reality-TV appearances.

She warned that strict legal action would be taken against those responsible.
