Micah Parsons returns to Packers practice after ACL injury

Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons has returned to practice after tearing the ACL in his left knee last December.

The injury also involved a meniscus tear, and Parsons said his recovery kept him on crutches for nearly two months.

The Packers have opened a 21-day window in which he can practice before the team must activate him from injured reserve.

He has started with individual drills and expects to do more in practice next week, but has not named a game for his return.

Parsons says he will need time to regain his top form, and expects both standout plays and mistakes as he gets back into action.

His return could strengthen a Packers defense that had 12.5 sacks from him in 14 games last season.

The team must decide within the practice window whether to activate him, which ends around its Thanksgiving Eve game against the Los Angeles Rams.
