Josh Pierson signs with AJ Foyt Racing for 2027 IndyCar season
AJ Foyt Racing has signed Josh Pierson for 2027 on a multi-year deal, giving the 20-year-old American a place in IndyCar.
Pierson will drive the team’s No.
4 Chevrolet, while Dennis Hauger will race its No.
14 car.
Pierson will make his IndyCar debut after competing in Indy NXT, the series’ feeder program, and in international racing.
At 16, he became the youngest driver to race at Le Mans.
In Indy NXT in 2026, he led the most laps, earned two poles and won at Laguna Seca.
He joins a team that has backed his development, after impressing its president in tests and with his performance at Laguna Seca.
The 2027 IndyCar season opens at St. Petersburg on March 7, where Pierson expects to take his first start.
