Modi opens RBI data centre and cybersecurity institute in Odisha

Narendra Modi inaugurated an RBI data centre and cybersecurity institute in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The ₹169-crore data centre at Jatni is the RBI’s second of its kind, after one in Navi Mumbai.

It will house key payment and settlement systems and support digital financial services.

The training institute will provide cybersecurity and technology training, research and skills development for the financial sector.

Modi said changing cyber threats could target a country’s economy, making stronger protection for banks and financial institutions essential.

The facilities are intended to provide secure digital infrastructure as India’s financial economy becomes more technology-driven.
