Arrowhead Says Helldivers 3 Is Not a Priority
Arrowhead is focusing on Helldivers 2, not making a third game anytime soon, chief creative officer Johan Pilestedt said.
He said a sequel would make players start over and reset their progress.
Pilestedt said the studio values its active community, which helps keep the game alive by bringing in friends and sharing memes.
About 95% of the studio is working on Helldivers 2, while a small team is assigned to its next project.
He said a sequel would need to be different enough for both games to exist side by side, because Helldivers 2 would compete with it.
For now, Arrowhead plans to keep improving Helldivers 2 with new content rather than risk losing the game’s momentum.
