Chris Eubanks says Magnus Norman could fill Darren Cahill's coaching role
Jannik Sinner is bringing Magnus Norman into his coaching team as Darren Cahill plans to retire.
Cahill has coached the Italian for four years, during which they won 24 of Sinner’s 30 ATP titles, including all five of his Grand Slams.
American tennis commentator Chris Eubanks called Norman a strong fit to help fill Cahill’s role.
Eubanks expects Norman to focus mainly on tactics, while Sinner’s other coach, Simone Vagnozzi, handles more technical work.
Norman previously coached Stan Wawrinka, including changes to Wawrinka’s return and physical approach, but Eubanks said Sinner already excels in long rallies.
It remains to be seen whether Norman brings any tactical or technical adjustments to Sinner’s game.
Eubanks said he is eager to see how the coaching team works together.

What people are saying
To me, I think off the top of my head, who would be a great coach to kind of fill that void? Magnus is perfect.
I think this is a perfect mix. Like perfect, perfect mix. When I saw it, I go, this makes tons of sense.
I tend to think Magnus will try to kind of not completely copy Darren’s style, but try to fill that void
I tend to think not, because when he’s healthy, he’s arguably the best player in the world.
