Trump says US is negotiating with Russia over Iran and Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said the US is applying economic and military pressure on Iran.

He said Washington is also negotiating with Russia about Iran, Ukraine, hostages and diesel.

Trump said Washington had seen no Russian action on Iran, and called Moscow's non-intervention positive.

He urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to let someone else lead negotiations, saying Zelensky was not helping find a solution to the war with Russia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met Iranian leaders in Tehran, and Pakistan's army chief is due to visit the city the next day.

Iranian officials say the visit will discuss Pakistan's role in mediation between Iran and the US, as efforts to revive mediation continue.

Trump also said he believes a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will take place in China.
