Clínicas Mi buys Tarragona clinic and expands its Lleida hospital

Clínicas Mi is investing €40 million to buy Policlínica El Vendrell and expand its hospital in Lleida, Spain.

The group, owned by the Masfurroll family and Portobello Capital, is adding the clinic in Santa Oliva, Tarragona, to its private healthcare network.

Policlínica El Vendrell provides emergency care, hospital stays and surgery, as well as other services.

Clínicas Mi says it will keep the clinic’s staff and doctors and invest in modernising its facilities, adding technology and expanding medical specialties.

A new Lleida outpatient building will add 26 consultation rooms across more than 2,500 square metres.

The building is designed to use artificial intelligence and other tools to speed up processes and improve patients’ experience.

The investment supports Clínicas Mi’s plan to grow its healthcare network after Portobello acquired a 49% stake in 2024; the group aims to reach €100 million in revenue within five years.
