Xiaomi begins selling compact Mijia hair dryer in China
Xiaomi has begun selling the Mijia High-Speed Hair Dryer Mini in China after unveiling it earlier this year.
The compact dryer costs 299 yuan, with an introductory price of 199.7 yuan.
It weighs 270 grams and is 30% smaller and 20% lighter than Xiaomi’s Mijia H501, making it easier to carry, according to the company.
Its motor runs at 110,000 revolutions per minute and produces airflow at up to 62 metres per second.
The dryer offers 10 combinations of settings, including two airflow speeds, four temperature modes and a child mode.
A temperature-monitoring system checks the air 200 times per second, while the dryer also uses positive and negative ions to reduce static, Xiaomi says.
The product is currently being sold in China, and no plans for availability elsewhere were given.
