Callina Liang Says Chun-Li Role Brought Pressure to Match the Character

Callina Liang plays Chun-Li in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, based on the fighting game series.

After seeing fans discuss her casting on Reddit, she said she felt pressure to match the character’s powerful appearance in the games and anime.

She had two months to prepare and said she wanted to work hard while staying realistic about what her body could do.

Liang trained in Taekwondo, Muay Thai and Wushu for two hours a day and changed her diet.

Her thighs grew 6.5 centimeters each, she said, after eating 12 eggs a day and having a meal every two hours.

She said her stunt double wore padding to make their appearance more alike on screen.

The film is due in theaters on October 16, according to the story.
