South Korea publishes legal guide for companies entering Vietnam

South Korea’s Justice Ministry has published a legal guide for Korean companies operating in Vietnam.

It covers the full course of doing business, from setting up a company to closing it.

The guide also explains local rules on copyright violations and economic crimes, areas where Vietnamese authorities have strengthened enforcement.

Vietnam is a major destination for Korean businesses, and economic ties are growing in semiconductors, energy, infrastructure, digital services and other fields.

The ministry says the guide is intended to help companies prepare for legal problems and understand the local investment environment.

The guide is now available, following similar guides the ministry has published for the UAE, Japan, Australia and Brazil since last year.
