Russian strike near Kharkiv kills three and injures 25

A Russian missile strike hit a residential area in Pisochyn, a community just outside Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian police said three people were killed, including a 16-year-old boy, and 25 were injured.

Two of the injured were girls aged 9 and 13, and those hurt were receiving medical care.

The strike landed near a grocery store and several homes.

Earlier the same day, glide bombs killed one person and injured at least eight in Kharkiv city.

The attacks came as Russia continues its war against Ukraine, and Kharkiv is regularly targeted because it is close to the front line.
