World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit opens in China

The 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit opened on November 3 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang, China.

Representatives of governments, international organizations, companies and research communities from many countries are taking part.

The summit focuses on open-source artificial intelligence and cooperation in areas including innovation, security and international ties.

Its main forum will include an AI discussion, and the summit has 27 sessions on internet and technology issues.

Organizers say entries for two international programs came from dozens of countries and regions, with participation in the technology awards rising 21% from last year.

The discussions aim to support a more open and shared global internet, and the summit will continue with its scheduled forums.

I believe the World Internet Conference will play an important role in the development of artificial intelligence in China, as it has in the past, and will go beyond its original significance, because open source and open cooperation are global, and the Wuzhen World Internet Conference can thereby make a contribution to the development of artificial intelligence around the world.

One of the highlights of the Wuzhen Summit is that it provides a platform for sharing information and bringing together ideas, so that people can discuss how to build a globally shared and open internet. This is both the theme of this year’s event and the consistent purpose of past summits—“leaving no one behind”—and creating opportunities for the future of the whole world.
