Jailer 2 ending hints at a new threat but confirms no sequel
Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer 2, the sequel to the 2023 film Jailer.
Tiger fights the Kalpas family, whose idol smuggling has endangered his loved ones.
He believes his family is safe and surrenders to the police, admitting that he killed his son.
Kantha survives and sends Tiger a message, suggesting that the danger may not be over.
The message comes as Tiger is being taken away, and the policeman who passes him the phone is revealed to be Vijay Sethupathi’s character.
The ending hints at a new threat, with Kantha emerging as a possible enemy and the policeman’s role still unclear.
Jailer 3 has not been officially confirmed, so whether Tiger returns for another battle is unknown.
Jailer 2 ends with Kantha alive and hinting that she may still pose a threat to Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
Tiger takes on the Kalpas family and believes he has made his family safe from the smuggling mafia.
He surrenders to police and is taken away in handcuffs, but receives a message from Kantha.
Vijay Sethupathi appears as a police officer in a surprise cameo.
