Drone Attack Damages Industrial Plant in Russia’s Perm Region
A Ukrainian drone attack damaged an industrial facility in Russia’s Perm region overnight, Governor Dmitry Makhonin said.
He said air defenses intercepted 20 drones over the region, while debris broke windows in homes in Berezniki and Solikamsk.
Makhonin did not name the facility, but eyewitness footage was used to identify it as the Azot plant in Berezniki.
The plant belongs to Uralchem and makes chemicals including fertilizer ingredients and substances also used in explosives.
The reported damage was minor, and local officials said emergency services were working at debris sites.
The plant is more than 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine’s border and has been targeted in drone attacks before.
