Bungie expects to restore vaulted Destiny 2 content by early 2028

Bungie is working to bring back vaulted Destiny 2 content that was removed from the game.

The first planned release covers the Red War, Forsaken, Curse of Osiris and Warmind campaigns, along with related Strikes, Raids and the Menagerie activity.

The restoration is still in pre-production, after feasibility work began in June.

Bungie expects full production to start by February 2027 at the latest and take about 12 months.

That puts the likely return of the content in early 2028, though the timing is a projection.

Bungie is also investigating possible additions such as destinations, seasonal activities, weapon updates and PvP maps.

The studio plans to share its next major update in February and says it will provide more information about Destiny's future early next year.
