South Korean children take part in road safety event in Changwon

South Gyeongsang Province’s education office held its fourth Children’s Road Safety Golden Bell event on November 7 at Changwon Jungang Middle School.

About 200 elementary school students took part.

The event aimed to help children learn and practise road safety rules in everyday life.

A quiz covered pedestrian safety, bicycles, personal mobility devices, signals and signs.

Children also tried crossing safely, learned through a mobile safety vehicle and made traffic signs.

The organizers hoped the activities would spread safety habits through families and the wider community.
