Shane Gillis plays a biased police host in an SNL sketch

Saturday Night Live featured a sketch called “Cop Talk,” hosted by Shane Gillis as Officer Doyle Connelly, with Mikey Day as his sidekick.

The show claims that talking to police does not have to be stressful, but Connelly questions guests in a tense, suspicious way.

He interrogates an author and a local artist, then orders the artist to be tased after a police dog finds a tin of Altoids.

A comedian sees what is happening and leaves the set.

Connelly changes his manner toward the final guest, a woman from a TV show, after she says she is somewhat drunk and high.

He gives her his police hat and asks if she has ever held a gun.

The sketch contrasts his harsh treatment of most guests with his friendlier response to her.
