Louis Klamroth hosts ARD political talk show Hart aber fair

Louis Klamroth is a German television presenter who has hosted the political talk show Hart aber fair on public broadcaster ARD since January 2023.

He took over from Frank Plasberg, who presented his last episode in November 2022.

Klamroth first became widely known as a child actor in the 2003 film Das Wunder von Bern, in which he appeared with his father, actor Peter Lohmeyer.

He later studied political science and presented the political interview programme Klamroths Konter from 2016 to 2021.

Since September 2025, he has also presented Press Play, an ARD programme combining politics and pop culture.

In 2026, he is set to host additional town hall programmes where members of the public can discuss issues with prominent political figures.

These roles make him a familiar presenter of political discussion on German television.
