Google adds left-behind alerts for trackers in Find Hub
Google is adding left-behind alerts to its Find Hub app for Android phones.
The feature sends a notification when a supported tag or tracker becomes separated from the phone.
It is appearing for users in the US and Europe, including people with Chipolo trackers and the Moto Tag.
Home is excluded by default, using the address saved in the user's Google Account to avoid alerts when they leave home.
The option does not yet appear for other device types, such as headphones.
Google may add support for more devices in a future update, and has also announced plans for NFC features to help users identify lost tags by tapping them with a phone.
