Koonenberry Gold advances exploration at several NSW projects
Koonenberry Gold is advancing exploration at several sites in New South Wales.
Two rigs are working at Wilga Flats, where drilling is testing the Olaf’s Trend for gold and copper.
The first three holes are complete, and their samples are being tested; results are expected late in the December quarter.
At Breakfast Creek, mapping and soil sampling have helped identify three potential drilling targets for copper and other metals.
Rock samples there returned up to 19.05% copper at Tara and 3.22% at Balbardie.
These results add to the company’s exploration picture, but they do not establish that an economic deposit exists.
Koonenberry is preparing to drill at Breakfast Creek and has started fieldwork at Gundagai.
The company also plans soil sampling at Gundagai’s Big Ben trend; no drilling results or schedule for that work are given.
Koonenberry Gold is advancing gold and copper exploration across several projects in New South Wales.
At Wilga Flats, two rigs are working along Olaf’s Trend, where drilling has included three completed RC holes and a diamond hole nearing its planned depth.
At Breakfast Creek, mapping, soil sampling and electromagnetic data have defined three polymetallic skarn drill targets.
Field assessments have started at Gundagai ahead of a planned soil sampling program at the Big Ben trend.

This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
Koonenberry Gold completed its acquisition of Gilmore Minerals, bringing the Gundagai project into its Lachlan portfolio.
Stockhead reported that exploration was advancing across Koonenberry Gold’s NSW projects.
Assays from the first three Wilga Flats holes are expected.
- Wilga Flats
- Three completed RC holes total 744m along Olaf’s Trend.
- Olaf’s Trend
- A diamond hole is testing a blind porphyry copper-gold target at a planned depth of roughly 450m.
- Breakfast Creek
- Three polymetallic skarn drill targets have been defined at Balbardie and Bimberoo.
- Copper rock chips
- Up to 19.05% copper at Tara and 3.22% copper at Balbardie.

What people are saying
The latest results at Breakfast Creek have strengthened our understanding of the project’s polymetallic potential, with high-grade copper rock chips supported by refined soil anomalies, skarn-style alteration and previously untested EM conductors emerging from our latest field work,
