Man in critical condition after being struck by car in Longueuil

A car struck a man with reduced mobility in Longueuil on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called at about 1:40 p.m.

to the intersection of Jean-Paul-Vincent Boulevard and de la Métropole Street.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.

He was reported to be in critical condition.

Police closed the area to traffic while emergency crews responded.

The public was asked to avoid the intersection for as long as the response required.
