Christopher Walken says his real life is far from his screen villains

Christopher Walken, 83, is known for playing villains in films such as Sleepy Hollow and A View to a Kill.

He says that image does not reflect his life away from the screen.

Walken said he has been married for more than 50 years, pays his bills on time and lives in a quiet home.

He also pointed to gentler roles, including Frank Abagnale Sr. in Catch Me If You Can, which earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.

Since 2022, he has appeared in the Apple TV+ series Severance as Burt Goodman, an employee who develops feelings for a colleague.

The show is set at a company where a procedure separates employees’ work memories from their memories of life outside work.

Walken said his pleasant, romantic character in the series suits him better than many of the roles he has played.
