Several drones shot down over Russia’s Udmurtia region
Several drones were shot down over Udmurtia, a republic in western Russia, on Oct.
24, acting regional head Olga Abramova said.
Authorities issued a “Dangerous Sky” alert, and sirens sounded in Izhevsk and several other cities and districts.
The alert followed a threat of drone attack in the region.
Public transport in Izhevsk stopped temporarily and later resumed; reports gave different times for when the halt began.
Udmurtia canceled the “Dangerous Sky” alert at 11:41 local time, but a separate drone warning and the “Carpet” airspace restriction remained in place.
Flights at Izhevsk airport faced temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures.
The available updates say those other warnings and restrictions were still in force at the time.
