Foreign investors put Rp127.7 trillion into Indonesian bonds and BI securities

Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara said foreign investors had put Rp127.7 trillion into Indonesia by October 23, 2026.

The money flowed into government bonds and Bank Indonesia securities, according to his figures.

Investors were pulling money out of Indonesian stocks, so the inflows were not spread across all markets.

Suahasil spoke at a meeting of Indonesia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jakarta on October 30.

He said the Financial Services Authority was working to reform the capital market and make it more trusted and attractive to investors.

The bond and central bank security inflows remained positive, despite the stock-market outflows.

The figures cover activity up to October 23, and Suahasil said reforms were under way, but he gave no further timeline.
