Apple releases 27.2 updates with more Siri AI languages

Apple has released version 27.2 updates for its current operating systems, including macOS, iOS and iPadOS.

The updates add Siri AI support for French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean, alongside English; German is not included.

The changes affect users of Apple devices worldwide, though Apple says Siri AI remains unavailable in the EU on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch systems.

In Germany, France, Italy, Poland and Romania, Apple has also changed the app-tracking consent notices as part of efforts to resolve competition cases.

Apple says app makers in those countries can add information and ask users to renew consent every 12 months, while the word “Tracking” is removed from the prompt.

The updates also include new features and security fixes, with changes to Apple Music, app controls and other system functions.

Apple has not yet published detailed security notes, but the updates are available to install; users can check for them in their device settings.
