Manon Relandeau’s mother wants her granddaughter to return from Algeria

Manon Relandeau’s mother wants her granddaughter to return from Algeria

Manon Relandeau disappeared in March from Saint-Étienne-de-Montluc in western France, and she has not been found.

Her 21-month-old daughter, Inaya, is in Algeria, where her paternal grandparents have temporary custody.

The child’s father, who is the main suspect in Relandeau’s disappearance, is being held in Algeria.

Relandeau’s mother, Nathalie Rousseau, visited Inaya in Blida on October 3 and 4, after nearly six months apart.

Rousseau says she wants Inaya to return to France and grow up as her mother wished, while keeping a relationship with her paternal grandparents.

The father has not yet been questioned by French investigators or an investigating judge about the allegations.

The child’s custody and possible return remain unresolved, and Rousseau hopes French and Algerian authorities can agree on how to proceed.
