Centiel cuts 2026 forecast as US deliveries move to 2027

Centiel, a Swiss company that makes backup power systems, has delayed its planned deliveries to the United States until 2027.

It has received the required US safety certification, but still needs independent checks of its first production systems and is expanding production capacity and training staff.

A US partner has signed a second order worth $51 million, though the terms are still being finalized before Centiel formally accepts it.

Combined with an earlier $8.7 million order, the US backlog would total $59.7 million.

Because US deliveries are delayed and production costs are rising, Centiel now expects 2026 net sales of about 55 million Swiss francs, down from its earlier forecast of about 65 million francs.

It also expects its adjusted operating profit margin to be in the high teens rather than above 20 percent, while maintaining its forecast for about 20 percent organic growth in core markets.

Production at its new site in Muzzano is expected to begin in the first half of 2027.
