Türkiye and Croatian officials hold talks in Ankara

Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic met Türkiye's foreign minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara during an official visit on Thursday.

Defense Minister Yaşar Güler also held talks with Jandrokovic, and the two chaired discussions between their delegations.

Türkiye and Croatia are both NATO members and cooperate on regional security.

Türkiye was among the first countries to recognize Croatia's independence in 1992, and the countries have since developed political and economic ties.

Their cooperation also aims to promote stability in southeastern Europe.

The accounts give no details of any decisions or further steps following the meetings.
