Chery plans to bring iCaur V27 SUV to UK in 2027
Chinese automaker Chery plans to bring the iCaur V27 to the UK in 2027.
The SUV has a boxy design that resembles Land Rover models, including the Defender.
That could put it in competition with a familiar British off-road brand, though the V27's prospects with UK buyers are not yet known.
It is already sold in other markets with a petrol engine, a rear-wheel-drive electric version and an all-wheel-drive electric version.
Chery has not said which version will reach the UK, so it is not clear whether the SUV will be fully electric there.
The company says it is tailoring the V27 for UK roads at its research and development facility in Millbrook, England.
