Brandenburg AfD files complaint against comedian Kurt Krömer
Comedian Kurt Krömer said he would not sell tickets to AfD voters for his planned reading tour, using insulting language about them in an Instagram video.
The remarks prompted Brandenburg AfD politician Dennis Hohloch to file a criminal complaint alleging insult and incitement to hatred.
Krömer, whose legal name is Alexander Bojcan, is planning readings from September 2027.
Hohloch also started a petition asking the ZDF public broadcaster to end its work with Krömer, whose new show is planned for ZDFneo and the ZDF streaming service.
The ZDF said Krömer’s Instagram post was separate from its production.
A criminal law professor quoted by rbb24 doubted the remarks would be punishable, saying AfD voters are too large and difficult to define as a group for the offences alleged.
The complaint will be reviewed by prosecutors, who will decide whether to open or end an investigation.

What people are saying
