Saudi Sabil plans to open 60% of its silo space to private investment

Saudi company Sabil plans to open 60% of its silo space to private investment to create opportunities for businesses.

Its network has 14 branches across Saudi Arabia, including four at ports, with storage capacity of more than three million tonnes.

Sabil is part of SALIC, which belongs to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, and supports food supply chains.

The company is expanding from grain into wider agricultural food logistics, including supply, handling, storage and transport.

Its strategy also aims to grow cold-chain services and improve storage and transport capacity.

The expansion matters because Sabil says stronger, more flexible supply chains can support Saudi food security and reduce reliance on imports.

The company has not given a timetable for the investment plans.
