Lacey Turner scores 30 for Strictly rumba as Emma Willis praises her leg extension

EastEnders actor Lacey Turner performed a rumba with professional partner Vito Coppola on Strictly Come Dancing.

The couple danced to Coldplay’s “Yellow” in a nod to Turner’s husband, Matt Kay.

Host Emma Willis joked that Turner’s leg extension was one Angela Rippon would be proud of, recalling Rippon’s famous kick on the show in 2023.

Turner and Coppola scored 30 out of 40 points for the dance.

The judges praised the leg action and the couple’s connection, but said Turner seemed nervous and could move with more confidence and fluidity.

Turner is competing to stay in the contest as the series reaches its halfway point.

The results are due on Sunday, during a Remembrance Sunday special featuring a dance honouring British soldiers and women’s wartime lives.
