Shaanxi reports more than 630 billion yuan in tax revenue

Shaanxi collected more than 630 billion yuan in taxes and fees in the first three quarters of 2026, 3.2% more than a year earlier.

The province in north-west China has introduced tax cuts and digital services to support businesses.

Tax breaks reached manufacturers, small businesses and exporters: more than 1,800 manufacturers received 835 million yuan in value-added tax relief, while small taxpayers received more than 10.2 billion yuan in relief.

From January to August, policies supporting innovation and manufacturing provided 299.5 billion yuan in tax cuts and refunds.

Authorities say the measures are helping support innovation, alongside other policies, as traditional industries grow and newer fields such as aerospace and information technology expand.

Companies in artificial intelligence, robotics and innovative medicines recorded profits that were 2.8 times higher than a year earlier, and their tax payments rose 12.2%.
