TUSAŞ completes second ANKA-3 production line ahead of 80-aircraft order
TUSAŞ has completed a second production line for the ANKA-3, an unmanned combat aircraft developed in Turkey.
The line is planned to begin operating in November and will build a larger version with a target payload of 1.75 tonnes, up from about 1.3 tonnes.
The Turkish Armed Forces have ordered 80 aircraft, and the first delivery is planned for 2027.
The aircraft is being designed for reconnaissance and surveillance as well as air-to-ground and air-to-air attacks.
It is also intended for electronic warfare and other missions, including disrupting enemy radar.
The first aircraft made on the new line is expected to undergo flight testing after it leaves production.
The new line is intended to expand production and support the order, but no confirmed monthly production rate has been provided.
