Mps and Bper join Italy’s 2027 list of systemically important banks
Italy’s central bank added Mps and Bper to its 2027 list of systemically important banks, while removing Bnl.

Six banking groups are now on the list, including UniCredit, Intesa Sanpaolo, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Banco Bpm, Bper Banca and Iccrea.

The required reserves range from 0.25% to 1.25% of each group’s risk-weighted exposures.
The new requirements take effect on January 1, 2027.
The central bank said it may revise the list when ongoing mergers are completed.
