Sentient Systems develops restricted-area and heat detection for event monitoring

South Korean company Sentient Systems is developing AI tools to help monitor events and industrial sites.

Its system provided live video and crowd-density analysis at a Red Bull event in Seoul and EDC Korea 2026 in October.

The new restricted-area feature flags people crossing boundaries or lingering in places such as backstage equipment zones.

Another feature links thermal-camera readings to regular video, showing where temperatures are unusually high.

It alerts staff to possible overheating or fire locations, but does not identify the cause automatically.

People or objects blocking the camera can reduce detection accuracy, and each area needs its own settings.

The company is also working on resource-recycling technology at an industrial complex in Yeosu, South Korea, including sludge-drying controls and odor analysis.

The performance of that work is due to be tested during the project, and the company says it plans to expand cooperation with businesses and public agencies.
