Tencent launches Hy4 with image analysis and computer-use features
Tencent has launched its flagship AI model, Hy4, adding visual understanding and computer-use features.
The Shenzhen-based company says Hy4 can interpret charts and documents, reason across images, and operate command-line tools and graphical interfaces.
The 770-billion-parameter model is aimed at practical work, including office tasks, financial analysis and game development.
Tencent has added it to WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy, and made it available through some third-party platforms.
Tencent plans to release Hy4’s weights shortly, though the model is already accessible through its products and platforms.
The company says Hy4 is among the strongest open-weight models, but it acknowledged that it trails leading closed-source systems on some demanding tasks.
