Fiat Egea production ends as Fastback targets December 2026 launch in Turkey

Fiat ended Egea production at its Bursa factory in Turkey after about 11 years.

The model was built there more than 1.4 million times, and it was Turkey's best-selling car for 10 years in a row from 2016 to 2025.

The Fastback is set to take the Egea's place in Fiat's Turkish line-up.

Fiat aims to begin sales in Turkey in December 2026, possibly before the model reaches other European markets, but the date is not confirmed.

The planned starting version has a 100-horsepower petrol engine and manual transmission; an automatic hybrid option is also planned.

A fully electric version is expected later, but it will not go on sale this year.

Fiat has not announced the Fastback's price or equipment packages, which are expected closer to launch.

The price and customer interest will help determine how well it replaces the Egea in Turkey.
