KAI Properti Replaces 180 Insulators on Jakarta Commuter Rail Network

KAI Properti has completed replacing 180 insulators on several Jakarta-area commuter rail sections.

The work covered routes including Cikoya–Maja, Tanah Abang–Palmerah and Citayam–Bogor.

Insulators separate electrical conductors from support structures, helping protect the power system and keep the network reliable.

The company also maintains 513.926 km of overhead power lines in Jakarta’s railway operating area.

That routine work covers 15 depots across the region and is supported by 78 workers.

Checks take place during the day, with repairs at night after trains stop running, to limit disruption and support worker safety.

Commuter Line Jabodetabek carried 270.9 million passengers from January to September 2026, up 6.02% from the same period in 2025, and routine inspections will continue to monitor the network and identify further work.
