Oracle plans US$20 billion bond and share sale for AI expansion
Oracle plans to raise US$20 billion through bond and share sales to help fund its AI and cloud infrastructure expansion.
The US software company said the money could also go toward debt repayment, acquisitions, dividends, share buybacks and other corporate needs.
The fundraising reflects the high cost of its AI push, which Oracle says will require major spending this fiscal year and next.
Oracle has pledged to raise no more than US$20 billion in additional financing for AI through fiscal 2030, and aims to more than triple revenue by then.
It had US$125.34 billion in borrowings as of August 31, while its fiscal 2026 revenue was US$67.36 billion.
The bond sale will have six tranches, with maturities from 2029 to 2046, but interest rates, prices and the number of shares to be sold have not been set.
