Risonare Osaka to close on November 23

Hoshino Resorts will stop operating Risonare Osaka on November 23, ending the hotel’s time in Osaka’s Nanko area.

It opened in December 2022 inside the building now called Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay, with 48 rooms managed under the Risonare brand.

The hotel was popular with families, especially for its large children’s art studio on the 28th floor, where children could draw on windows and join creative workshops.

The building’s owner decided that one operator should manage the hotel as Osaka prepares for more visitors when an integrated resort is due to open in 2030.

Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay will take over the 48 rooms after Risonare’s final checkout at noon on November 23.

Whether it will continue running the art studio in the same way is not yet decided.

Hoshino Resorts says it will focus its Osaka operations on OMO7 Osaka, while Risonare Fukui is planned to open in September 2027.

I want to take on the challenge of seeing whether we can achieve performance like before the COVID-19 pandemic by differentiating the two brands.
