Tom Kristensson to compete in Gippsland and Adelaide rally events

Swedish driver Tom Kristensson and co-driver Andreas Johansson will compete in two Australian events in November.

They will first enter the Middle of Everywhere Gippsland Rally, the final round of the Australian Rally Championship, from November 20 to 22.

Kristensson has raced in Australia for the past two seasons and has previously earned a podium and stage wins.

The Gippsland result will close a season-long fight for the championship, with Lewis Bates and Anthony McLoughlin leading by 41 points over Scott Pedder and Glenn Macneall.

Harry Bates and Coral Taylor are third, 75 points behind the leaders.

Kristensson will then drive Pedder’s Skoda in an Adelaide rally demonstration at the Grand Final from November 26 to 29.

Pedder is available only on the event’s Thursday, so Kristensson will drive the remaining three days.

The Adelaide appearance is an exhibition, while the championship standings will be decided at Gippsland.
