Hyundai Motor Group to support 50 auto-focused high schools by 2028
Hyundai Motor Group is launching a three-year programme to train students in future mobility technology at automotive-focused high schools in South Korea.
The HMG Future Mobility Tech Campus aims to reach 50 schools and about 6,000 students by 2028.
Many schools still use combustion-engine vehicles around 15 years old for practical lessons, even as electric and hybrid vehicles become more common.
The programme will provide electric and hybrid vehicles and repair tools, alongside training at Hyundai and Kia service facilities.
Students will also get online mentoring from industry professionals to explore careers and gain job-related experience.
The support begins in Gyeonggi, Incheon and Gangwon this year, then expands to other regions through 2028.
