Beijing’s INDIGO complex renamed Taikoo Place Beijing

Swire Properties renamed Beijing’s INDIGO development Taikoo Place Beijing on October 29.

The complex is in Beijing’s Chaoyang district and includes the existing site and a planned expansion.

The Taikoo Place name is the company’s premium commercial complex brand, already used for a business district in Hong Kong.

Once complete, the Beijing project will cover more than 860,000 square metres and combine offices, shops, a hotel, arts venues and public spaces.

Its expanded shopping centre will have 150,000 square metres of retail space and about 400 brands.

Four new office buildings and nearby retail areas have completed construction filing, and the project is being handed over in stages.

The full development is intended to become an all-day destination for work, shopping and leisure, though no completion date is given.
