Cole Palmer criticised after video shows him walking past young Chelsea fans
Cole Palmer has been criticised after a video showed him walking past young Chelsea fans outside Stamford Bridge.
The incident happened after Chelsea beat Bournemouth 5-1 on Saturday.
The young supporters held up phones as Palmer, wearing a hood, walked by with his hands in his pockets.
Some social media users said he should have stopped to greet or sign something for the children, while others noted that stopping for one fan could mean stopping for many.
Palmer had announced a new Chelsea contract earlier that day, extending his commitment to the club until 2034.
He said he believes Chelsea are moving in the right direction and can win major trophies consistently.
The criticism followed the video, and the story does not say whether Palmer responded to it.
