BCCI postpones IPL stakeholder meeting after Modi's athlete felicitation

The BCCI has postponed its IPL stakeholder meeting, which had been scheduled for October 15 in Mumbai.

The meeting was due to bring together IPL franchise representatives, broadcasters and host state associations to discuss matters concerning the league.

BCCI officials are expected to attend a New Delhi ceremony hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the same day.

Modi will honour India's men's and women's cricket teams for their gold-medal-winning campaigns at the 2026 Asian Games, along with other medallists.

Some stakeholders also asked the board to reschedule, and the BCCI said the change would help more people attend in person.

No new meeting date has been announced; the board says it will share the date and venue later.
